What can be done to keep the class quiet?

Every teacher dreams of teaching in a perfectly peaceful classroom, which can be challenging to have at all times. Children are children and they do get loud often, especially the young ones. So, the techniques to keep a class quiet are different for youngsters and grownups due to the considerable variation in their understanding. For the smaller grades, you can use the volunteer’s method where you have to make at least 3 volunteers model an ideal behavior in front of the whole class and then appreciate them enthusiastically. Other than this, there are the regular methods such as clapping your hands or showing quieting signals taught by you earlier. However, with the older students it’s better to be direct and more communicative.
