Is a teacher required to be trained for dealing with problematic students as well?

As a general subject teacher, you come across many different types of students with diverse temperaments/tendencies and some out of them could be having diagnosed issues. Now, as an educator you need to have skills to deal with such special cases but you’re not required to be an expert in it. Generally, schools do provide a class or two on special education to all the teachers to enable them deal with the erratic behavior in class, however, dealing with the extreme cases is not a part and parcel of the general educator’s responsibilities. The administration should be taking the charge for such extreme behaviors by figuring out a proper plan. Additionally, there should be a councilor in every school to deal with the physiological disturbances in learners.
