Not always but yes, it’s human to forget the names after a considerable period of time. Now, there are many factors like for how long one has been teaching and what’s the average strength of the classes taken. For instance, a teacher who’s been teaching for 20 years is more likely to be forgetful of students’ names as compared to her colleague teaching for 6 years. Another factor is that the appearance of students considerably changes as they grow up, making it all the more difficult for educators to recall their identity. However, a teacher who remembers her learners’ names even after years of their passing out should definitely be proud of her memory!
