Can Nursery Rhymes be used for teaching Sight Words?

Yes, nursery rhymes can certainly be used for teaching sight words and vocabulary in general. The popular rhymes such as ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’, ‘Early to Bed’, ‘Mary Had a Little Lamb’ and ‘Row Row Row Your Boat’ etc., can be employed as a part of the language teaching exercises and are just the right thing to do for making the young learners comfortable with sight words.
