Yes, nursery rhymes can certainly be used for teaching sight words and vocabulary in general. The popular rhymes such as ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’, ‘Early to Bed’, ‘Mary Had a Little Lamb’ and ‘Row Row Row Your Boat’ etc., can be employed as a part of the language teaching exercises and are just the right thing to do for making the young learners comfortable with sight words.
