Forest Hill Academy was started in the year 1990. It was conceived by the management with a view to bring good education and fluency in English and maintain local cultural inheritance. The Founder Principal was Mr.Geoffrey Jan Bensley who had 3 decades of teaching experience at Chennai. It was with him and his team that the school started with 6 staff and 3 children on the 3rd June 1990 at vettaikaranpudur.The school was started in the town at the ancestral home of the management.Now the campus had been shifted to a larger area with 16 acres and lot of vegetation to suit the name of school. "The purpose of schooling is to plant and nurture a beautiful man making seed in the child. Now the question of a perfect human being may seem to be a philosophical myth, but an attempt to follow that great path is our wish. Society tends to cage individual thought. It is our aim to let the child out of this cage and focus his energies and endeavor towards the reason he was brought into this world for."
