UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test) is a state-level examination of which is conducted to certify the eligibility of candidates to be appointed as teachers at Primary and Upper Primary level for schools across the state of U.P. There are two levels/papers of UPTET- primary and upper primary. Candidates who want to teach Class I to V need to take Paper I exam and those who want to teach Class V to VIII need to take Paper-II exam. Along with the notification for UPTET 2019, the UPBEB would be publishing separate syllabus for UPTET Paper 1 and Paper 2.
With the publication of notification for UPTET 2019, the application process for the exam would be formally initiated. Application forms can be filled online on the official website (upbasiceduboard.gov.in) for which detailed instructions could be found in UPTET 2019 notification.
If a candidate satisfies the eligibility criterion, there are no restrictions to choose any one of the test papers. Candidates can either appear in UPTET 2019 Paper 1 or Paper 2 or they can appear in both the test papers simultaneously. This year, the trainees in 1st semester of D.El.Ed. and B.Ed. will also be eligible to participate in the UPTET 2019 exam.
For UPTET 2019, Candidates Have to Perform 4 Major Steps

· UPTET 2019 exam consists of Paper 1 & Paper 2:
o Paper 1 is conducted to recruit Primary Level Teacher for Class 1st to 5th Class, and
o Paper 2 is for Upper Primary Level from Class 6th to 8th
· It's expected that the UPTET 2019 notification will be released between 6th and 7th September 2019 (tentative).
· UPBEB will upload the UPTET 2019 notification PDF file with the important details such as events dates, eligibility, fee, application form link, syllabus, pattern, etc.
· UPTET exam date for 2019 is not announced yet. However, the UPTET 2019 exam is expected to be held in the month of November 2019.
· Candidates who qualify the UPTET 2019 exam will be awarded the UPTET eligibility certificate which remains valid till 5 years.
· UPTET application form 2019 link will be activated as soon as the exam notification is announced.
· The link to apply online for UPTET 2019 will be active until the last submission date.
· This year, the trainee in 1st semester of D.El.Ed. and B.Ed. will also be eligible to participate in the UPTET 2019 exam.
· As per the latest announcement, the Teachers who are in the training period can now sit in TET exams.
· The UPTET 2019 notification may release after Diwali and application fee may also increase by Rs 100.

In order to secure qualifying marks in UPTET 2019, candidates appearing in UPTET Exam 2019, must thoroughly go through the Syllabus for UPTET 2019.
So far, there hasn’t been any major changes in the Syllabus for UPTET 2019 and it is quite similar to the Teaching Eligibility Tests (TET) of other states.
The UPTET syllabus 2019 for Paper 1 & Paper 2 would be published by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) in near future on its official website i.e. upbasiceduboard.gov.in along with the exam notification. However, there is a quite high probability that the syllabus for UPTET 2019 exam remains unchanged, as it has been for several years now.
UPTET syllabus 2019 Paper 1:
The syllabus for the UPTET 2019 exam comprises:
- Child Development & Pedagogy
- Language I (Hindi)
- Language II (English, Urdu & Sanskrit)
- Mathematics
- Environmental Studies.
UPTET syllabus 2019 Paper 2:
The syllabus for the UPTET 2019 exam comprises:
- Child Development, Learning & Pedagogy
- Language I (Hindi)
- Language II (English, Urdu & Sanskrit)
- Mathematics/Science or (B) Social Studies/Science.
Candidates who want to teach Classes V to VIII are required to take Paper-II exam of UPTET 2019 with good marks whereas the Paper 1 of UPTET 2019 will make the aspirants eligible for teaching Class I to V.
The Syllabus of UPTET 2019 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 are slightly different as they are designed to assess the capabilities of candidates to teach primary and upper primary level students. The detailed syllabus for UPTET 2019 is designed in such a way that it thoroughly check candidates understanding for different levels respectively.
As per the UPTET exam pattern, mode of the exam would be offline and both Paper I and II where candidates are supposed to use pen and paper. Questions will be of Objective type/ MCQs.
The basics remain the same in both the syllabus of UPTET 2019. However, there is a noticeable difference in the difficulty level of Paper1 and Paper 2. Also, in Paper 2 there would be addition paper of Maths/Science and Social Science.
