Primary Purpose:
The Primary Teacher develops schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives. He/she facilitates learning by establishing good relationships with students and by the effective organisation of learning resources and the classroom learning environment.
Qualifications: Candidate must be B.Ed qualified with Graduation.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Experience: At least 3 years experience in teaching to primary grade.

The genesis of the K.V. - Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Belgaum Cantt. was started on the 18 of September 1983 under the able administration of Honourable Assistant Commissioner Shri Srikanthayya and our Education Officer Shri Hashmi. Important Milestones - This pioneer institute, at its infant stage, was in the tender care of Principal Mr. D. B. Deshpande and the Chairman was Commandant Bhajentra Singh. The Vidyalaya began functioning in the Maratha Light Infantary Building. Gradual Year Wise Expansion in classes - The Vidyalaya had humble beginnings with a student strength of below 250 students and staff strength of just 16 in the year 1983. The Vidyalaya is now one of the biggest Vidyalayas (in terms of strength) in the Bangalore region with a student strength of around 3000 and staff strength of one hundred. Details of Campus - The Vidyalaya is well equipped with all kinds of infrastructural facilities required to meet the needs and necessities of the inspired learners. Vidyalaya has separate building for the Primary section. All the class rooms are spacious, well lighted and have good ventilation. The furniture in the classrooms have made according to the age and physical growth of children. Classes from I and VI have five sections and VII and IX have six sections. The XI and XII classes have Science and Commerce streams making a total of 61 classrooms. The class rooms have been made attractive by maps, sketches, charts display boards, inspiring quotes etc. The classrooms for the younger children have been made appealing for the toddlers by educative drawings and colourful pictures which cover the entire walls of the classroom. A Herbal Garden with a wide variety of medicinal plants is an additional attraction to the natural bounty around the Vidyalaya.
