Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday FridaySubbiah Chettiar Charity Trust and Subbiah Group of Institutionswere named after Sri V.S.Subbiah Chettiar who was the second son of Sokkan Chettiar and Mallammal in Vadambacheri which is about 30 kms from Tirupur. Sri V.S.Subbiah Chettiar later moved to Tirupur and became a popular and highly respected businessman and philanthropist. During his time he started a school in his native village Vadambacheri to provide free education to children from economically backward families, which proved to be a boon to everyone, since its inception in 1958.After his passing away in 1960 his two sons Sri V.S.Natarajan and Sri.V.S.Siva Subramaniam started a charity trust named after their father with an idea of continuing the philanthropic activities in an organized manner. Due to their untimely deaths, this responsibility had passed on to their legal heirs who began to take care of the business and Trust activities. Sri .S.N.Jaya chandran, Sri S.Sukumaran and Sri S.Ravi Subbian became the trustees and continued their philanthropic activities. Subbiah Matriculation & Hr Sec School was started in the year 1991 with the motive of providing high quality education to everyone in a peaceful and conducive environment with all necessary facilities. The school is proud to be called as a ‘school with a difference’ and has become a much sought after school by the people of Tirupur. Because of its pioneering activities in many academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities, the school has earned the reputation of being the best school in the town. Following the success of Subbiah Matriculation School was launched Subbiah Central School in 2012, in order to continue the good work in lines of a central board curriculum which happened to be the need of the hour in town.
