Kendriya Vidyalaya Mehsana

K. V. Mehsana made a beautiful beginning in the year 1980 with classes 1 to 10 with two sections each and one section science stream and one section commerce stream in Class XI and XII. Today to tread the path of progress and achievement the school has classes 1 to 12 with an enrolment of 966 students. It caters to the all round development of the students besides providing quality education. The vidyalaya gives due place to Co-Curricular activities including Cultural, literary, physical, social for grooming the entire personality of the child. The Vidyalaya has a beautiful serene campus surrounded by environment friendly tall neem trees. There are pleasant lush green lawns and big playground with the childrens park. It has well equipped science labs for higher secondary students and a junior science lab for middle and secondary school students. It has a 2 Computer Labs with 58 No. of computers along with latest technology of LCD. The Vidyalaya has a rich library with more than 7000 books. More than 25 various periodicals and references covering all the subjects are subscribed. The Primary section consists of an activity room with LCD, Interactive board, Visualizer facilities to make teaching effective. Due importance is given to indoor and outdoor games in order to provide proper grooming of the children. The Vidyalaya has big playground, adequate for outdoor games like basketball volleyball. There are regular weekly periods assigned in the timetable for each class for games. Apart from games, physical training, SBSB programme, Yoga, Route to Root is also given a due place in the schedule.
