“The secret of Education lies in respecting the Student.” We, at GD, strongly believe that each of our students has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. The school therefore has a welcoming, positive and fair environment where all students learn from one another and feel safe and comfortable to nurture and share their thoughts and ideas. The school at all times endeavours to provide a constructivist learning approach, where the teacher acts as a caring facilitator and students are taught how to think, not what to think. The teacher attempts to make it possible for the student to reach their full potential, ask questions, learn from their mistakes, give and receive feedback, create and try their best. We aim for the students to imbibe in themselves an enthusiasm for learning and work, and develop a healthy self-awareness as well as a keen interest and deep concern for fellow human beings and respect for the world. Students learn to give respect and command respect as well. When the student finishes class XII at Gedee, the school aspires that she/he must leave, with a strength of character, a spirit of exploration and a thirst for knowledge, to explore the unknown and live a meaningful life.
