Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday FridayBharatiya Vidya Bhavan is an Indian educational trust. It was founded on November 7,1938 by Dr K.M. Munshi, with the support of Mahatma Gandhi. Dr K.M. Munshi was supported by many eminent personalities of his time, in his endeavor to bring about constructive measures to foster and strengthen the cultural and educational foundations with the active participation of all Indian citizens. With the blessings of Mahatma Gandhi and co-operation of national leaders such as Sardar Vallabhai Patel ,Dr Rajendra Prasad, Shri C Rajagopalchari, Dr S Radhakrishnan, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and scholars like Mahamahopadhyaya ,Dr P.V.Kane, Acharya Jinavijayji Muni, Principal Dr I.J.S.Taraporewala and Principal Kashmira Singh of the Khalsa College, Dr Munshi founded the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, which has grown into a comprehensive All India intellectual, cultural and educational movement. True to its goal of revitalizing Dharma or the Moral Law in its three fold aspects of Truth, Love and Beauty,(Satyam, Shivam and Sundaram), the Bhavan is ceaselessly striving forward to spread India’s ageless message of Faith ,Self-discipline and Dedication(Shraddha, Samyama and Samarpana).The Bhavan believes that these elements in all cultures help in uniting people together ,transcending all barriers.Its ideal is Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.’ The Bhavan has today 119 Centres in India and 375 Constituent Institutions spread all over India, and also has 7 Overseas Centres. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s V.M.Public School, Vadodara was established in 1966 by late Dr. Kanhaiyalal Maneklal Munshi, an educationist with a view of providing modern education with the best of Western outlook and Indian culture.
