Job Description
Role and responsibilities:-
- Planning and preparing courses and lessons. Maintaining up to date subject knowledge related to CBSE preparation for Classes 10th to 12th.
- Be proactively involved in teaching students.
- Motivating, facilitating, teaching, according to the pupil's educational needs.
- Plan, prepare and present lessons that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within their class. Preparing weekly assignments for each batch assigned to him/her.
- Timely correction and marking of assignment work carried out by the students in class and elsewhere.
- Assessing, recording and reporting on the development and progress of students.
- Communicating, consulting and providing feedback to the parents of students during PTM or as and when the requirement / need arises.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Strong knowledge of English as subject and ability to teach same to class 11th and 12th class learners.
- Candidates with School Teaching Experience along with experience in scholastic exam training will be preferred.
- Candidates must have a clear understanding of teaching and learning needs of Foundation
- Course students, who need to excel in School as well as Competitive Exams.
- Candidates with a habit of continuous self learning will be preferred.
- Must possess excellent presentation and English communication skills.

About Montfort Matriculation Hr.Sec School
Montfort Matriculation School, St. Thomas Mount, Chennai – 600 016, was started on 10 th June 2002, by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel belonging to the Province of Yercaud under the guidance of the then provincial superior Rev Bro K K Thomas and the leadership of the then Principal and Correspondent Rev. Bro George Vaz. Ever since its inception the school has constantly grown both in size and number. From a mere 800 students in 2003 the strength increased to 1600 by the academic year 2005- 2006.
In the academic year 2003- 2004 the first wing of the school building was built having classrooms for 2 sections from LKG to Std VIII and a Computer Lab. By the year 2005 – 2006 a new block encompassing additional classrooms for 3 sections from LKG to Std X, science laboratories, audio visual room was constructed.
In the academic year 2009 - 2010 the school was upgraded to Higher Secondary comprising of 2 groups.
In the academic year 2014 – 2015 under the leadership of the current Principal and Correspondent Rev. Bro K K Thomas the number of sections from LKG to Std X was increased to 4, and Commerce group was introduced in the Higher Secondary. In the year 2015-2016 an additional section was started for LKG and Pure Science group was introduced in the Higher Secondary.
