Reporting on how teachers get hired

Salary data, appointment-letter wording, interview practice and hiring trends in Indian organizations — written from what organizations and teachers on the platform actually do, not from generic careers advice.

The blog has not launched yet. Below is what the data desk is working on — these pieces are not published and are not readable here. The salary report is the exception: its full data set is live in the salary guide.

What Indian organizations actually post for PRT, TGT and PGT roles

We counted every salary band posted on the catalogue — 3,099 listings from 1,435 organizations — and found a market narrower than the conversation around it: nine listings in ten sit between ₹3 and ₹5 lakh a year, and the gap between a good offer and a bad one is decided almost entirely by what sits outside the band.

Why 'available immediately' can cost you the job

Organizations hire against the session. Signalling the wrong start date puts a strong application in the wrong pile — here is how to frame a notice period against an April or June joining, and what to do if you are applying mid-session.

  4. Boards

From state board to CBSE: what actually transfers, and what you rebuild

Subject knowledge, classroom management and result ownership transfer well. Pacing, internal assessment paperwork and the language of instruction often do not. A practical map for teachers moving between boards.

  6. Leadership

The route from HOD to Vice Principal

Middle leaders who move up early tend to have three things on paper before they apply. None of them is another qualification.
