About Jobors

Where India's teachers find their next organization.

Jobors exists because teacher hiring in India runs on hearsay. A physics teacher in Chennai hears that a CBSE organization in Coimbatore pays better. A TGT in Ghaziabad is told the group down the road promotes from within. Nobody can check any of it, and the listing that started the rumour is usually a consultant's repost of a repost. We built the layer that makes it checkable — verified organizations, posted salary bands, and a hiring pipeline where the candidate can see where they stand.

Every organization checked before it can postMetros and tier-2 cities, one profile

Why we started

“I applied to nineteen organizations and heard back from three.”

That sentence is the reason this platform has an applicant pipeline rather than a contact form. Silence is not a shortage of interest — it is an organization working a shared inbox and 300 CVs with no system underneath it. Organizations get tools that make replying cheap. Teachers get to see the reply.

Jobors is built and run by a distributed team of educators, recruiters and engineers.

Our mission

Make a teaching record portable across organizations

A PGT who has taken six cohorts through Class XII should be able to carry that record to the next organization without starting from zero. Today they can't. Qualifications are re-explained in every application, references are re-chased by every organization, and pay is only discovered at offer stage — usually after three rounds and a demo class.

Jobors turns that record into something an organization can read in ninety seconds: subject and grade band, boards taught, board results owned, CTET or state TET, notice period, and the cities the teacher will actually move to. One profile, reused for every application.

On the other side, organizations get a real hiring system rather than a shared inbox — job posting, candidate search, interview scheduling and hiring analytics in one place, so that replying to a candidate takes a click rather than an afternoon.

We are starting with India, and with hiring, because that is where the friction is highest and the stakes are most personal. Neither is where we intend to stop — but we would rather list one market properly than nine badly.

Trust

How we verify organizations

A verified badge that means nothing is worse than no badge at all. Ours means three specific things were checked by a person, and are re-checked every twelve months.

  1. Registration and legal standing

We confirm the organization is a registered, operating institution — society or trust registration, recognition from the state education department, campus address, and the entity that will hold the employment contract. A group is checked at trust level and again for each campus.

  2. Board affiliation and recognition

Board and curriculum claims are checked against the awarding body's own register — CBSE affiliation number, CISCE (ICSE/ISC) code, the state board's list, or IB and Cambridge authorisation for the organizations that hold it. An organization that is a candidate rather than authorised is listed as a candidate, in those words.

  3. A named, reachable hiring contact

Every listing carries a real person who answers applications: name, role and a working organization address. If that contact stops responding, the organization's roles come down until a new one is confirmed.

Organizations that fail a check are not listed, and an organization that loses its affiliation loses its badge the same week. Teachers can report a listing from any job page — those reports are read by a human, not a filter.

What we hold to

Five positions we don't trade away

These are the decisions we get asked to reverse most often, usually by whoever is writing the largest cheque. The answer has stayed the same.

Teachers never pay
Search, profile, applications, salary data and every resource on the site are free for teachers, permanently. Organizations fund the platform, and no teacher is ever ranked higher because they paid.
Salary in the open
A role without a pay range is a role that wastes a teacher's evening. Organizations post a band up front and it stays on the listing — today the large majority of published roles carry one, and we keep pushing at the rest.
Verified before listed
No scraped listings, no reposted agency adverts, no ghost roles left up for a year. An organization earns its place in the directory before it can reach a single teacher.
Built for how India hires
PRT, TGT and PGT are not job titles we borrowed from somewhere else — they are the grades organizations actually recruit against, alongside CTET and state TET, board affiliation, and the March-to-June hiring season. We model that, rather than bending an imported template around it.
The candidate hears back
Organizations on Jobors work an applicant pipeline with real statuses, and teachers see where they stand in it. Silence after an application is a product failure, not a fact of hiring.

Teaching in India, or hiring in India?

Teachers search and apply free, forever. Organizations start with a verification review and a conversation about the roles they need to fill this year.
