Job Description
Role and responsibilities:-
- Planning and preparing courses and lessons. Maintaining up to date subject knowledge related to CBSE preparation for Classes 10th to 12th.
- Be proactively involved in teaching students.
- Motivating, facilitating, teaching, according to the pupil's educational needs.
- Plan, prepare and present lessons that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within their class. Preparing weekly assignments for each batch assigned to him/her.
- Timely correction and marking of assignment work carried out by the students in class and elsewhere.
- Assessing, recording and reporting on the development and progress of students.
- Communicating, consulting and providing feedback to the parents of students during PTM or as and when the requirement / need arises.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Strong knowledge of Physics subject and ability to teach same to class 11th and 12th class learners.
- Candidates with School Teaching Experience along with experience in scholastic exam training will be preferred.
- Candidates must have a clear understanding of teaching and learning needs of Foundation
- Course students, who need to excel in School as well as Competitive Exams.
- Candidates with a habit of continuous self learning will be preferred.
- Must possess excellent presentation and English communication skills.

About Vaasavi International School
Arya Vysya Samajam, Pondicherry was established on 29th October 1933 and it was registered under the French Act as a Society for the welfare of the Pondicherry Arya Vysya community people. In the initial years Arya Vysya Samajam was concentrating mainly to provide educational assistance to the economically weaker section of the community.
Arya Vysya Samajam, Pondicherry has few properties in the heart of the town donated more than 100 years before by the philanthropic community people. One such property is two acres land at Muthialpet where the school building is now constructed. The land was vacated after a long legal battle with unauthorized tenants during the year 2002. A society that does not give importance to education cannot progress and therefore the elders of the community decided that they should do something to the society in the field of education which will not only help our community but also others. An Educational trust was formed on 6th June 2010 and the same was registered with Income-tax Department as a public charitable trust.
The school construction work was taken up during January 2011 and the first phase of 10 class room construction was completed during March 2012 and the school was inaugurated on 22nd June 2012 by His Excellency Dr.K.Rosiah, Governor of Tamilnadu in presence of His Excellency Sri Iqbal Singh, Lt.Governor of Pondicherry, Sri N.Rangaswamy, Chief Minister of Pondicherry, Sri T.Thiyagarajan, Minister for Education, Pondicherry and Sri K.Lakshminarayanan, M.L.A, Pondicherry. The Chairman in his welcome address stated that the building construction of the school will be taken up in stages and the entire building construction will be completed by the year 2017. The school building construction is completed now and all the necessary infrastructure required up to 10th Standard is provided as per CBSE affiliation rules and regulations.
