About Bal Bharati Public Schools
Child Education Society, the apex body of Bal Bharati Public Schools and other institutions, was set up in the year 1944 during the Pre-independence era when our founding fathers thought that the Indian Culture, Heritage, Tradition and Ethos must be preserved and conserved. In order to achieve these objectives, it became obligatory for the society to educate young people. An eminent philanthropist, the Late Padma Vibhushan Lala Hansraj Gupta alongwith his fellow luminaries founded the parent body, the 'CHILD EDUCATION SOCIETY'.
The CES’s entry into the world of education is a journey that started before Independence. The 78-year journey has been long and eventful. A seed sown in 1944 and nourished by the vision of its founding fathers, has today established itself as a conglomerate of Bal Bharati institutions
Today, the affairs of the society are managed by the Board of Management consisting of eminent educationists and social workers. Over the last seven decades, the pace of expansion and development of new schools has greatly quickened, going up from just one school and one institution to as many as 26 institutions.
The remarkable journey of the CES began with the first Bal Bharati School on SIr Ganga Ram Hospital Marg in 1944 followed by the setting up of the Nursery Teachers Training Institute in 1962. Thereafter Bal Bharati schools at Pitampura, Brij Vihar, Rohini, Nishatpura (Bhopal), Noida, Dwarka and Manesar came up in quick succession. To these were added schools run for the Indian railways and NTPC. Today with 13 core schools, 12 Project Schools with NTPC and other organizations, and one Franchisee School, the CES has contributed in a great measure to providing quality education to the masses.
Among the most notable personalities, who helped create a unique identity for Bal Bharati schools was Mr K K Khullar. As the President of CES for more than 30 years Mr Khullar will always be remembered as a perennial source of inspiration. His keen intellect and a
