About Rotary public school

The saga of 39 glorious years is infact the history of Herculean efforts made by the Rotarians of Rotary Club Gurgaon, R.I. Distt 3011. The odyssey began in 1981 when there was no senior secondary school in the great city of Guru Dronacharya . The need of the hour was felt by the Rotarians of the Rotary Club Gurgaon. With a vision to impart quality education to the greatest number, a Rotary Service Trust was formed comprising of the members of Rotary Club Gurgaon . These men of genius, with confidence in God, joined heads and hands together and wove the threads of their project. Their devoted action plans multiplied million folds and built the fabric “Rotary Public School”, Gurgaon with a vision that “For want of money no child should be deprived of the right to quality education”. Pioneering the cause of education for a maximum number, Rotary Public School Gurgaon stands as the first venture of Rotary Service Trust Gurgaon whose foundation stone was laid by Ex-Chief Election Commissioner Dr.S.Y.Qureshi, then Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon Range. Initially the school made a humble start with only four rooms in sec-17 and a small number of students. With the passage of time, more and more enthusiastic Rotarians joined the Trust and thus started the success story with the expansion of the school. Progressing by leaps and bounds, the school weathered many transformations and had the proud privilege of becoming First Senior Secondary School in Gurgaon affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi with 3 major streams: Science , Commerce & Humanities. Since its inception the school has ever moved forward. The educational experiences have been satisfying but the zealous Rotarians set themselves stiff goals. With the town developing fast in a metropolitan with an influx of multinational establishments, they too had miles to go. They could not rest on their past success, they strived to improve the infrastructure further so as to meet the challenges with a renewed spirit of urgency. Real
